Chapter Four

In 2000 Five star came back bigtime as a 3 piece,with Stedman,Lorraine and Denise.As Doris and Delroy are working on their own progects.

Five star play various dates in the USA. The new album "Eclipse" is recorded,eagerly anticipated by fans after a 5 year wait.

Lorraine gets Married.

In March 2001 "Eclipse" is released and made available via the limited online version of "Tent Merchandise" website. Fans are happy with the new albums sound. Doris writes 2 new tracks for the album and Denise also writes 3 new tracks Delroy co-writes with both his sisters,and produces several tracks on the album.

In June of this year their first new single of the millenium years "Funktafied" is released, written by Denise this is a very Sexy record that show Five stars maturity,over the years. It makes it onto "Billboard" in the USA at #99. Also available on import over here in the UK.

In the UK Five star are featured on a couple of tv shows talking about their career.

2002 arrives and Five star come back to the UK and appear on several UK tv shows to promote their "Here and Now" tour as part of an 80s revival.

They also play some P.A.S Wowing the fans with their live performances.

On April 27, Five Star play at the "Astoria (G.A.Y.)"in London and receive a fantastic response,this being their first Live performance in the UK in seven years.

Two weeks later they play at Birminghams "Nightingale" club again they go down a storm. Five star also do several Radio and Press inerviews throughout the year to promote the upcoming "Here and Now" tour In December of which they played Nine dates coming up to Christmas.

2003 and Five star play yet more live dates in March Five star play two live dates on the 1st March Skengness Butlins, and on the 22nd March back to the "Nightingale" club again they get a great reception at both venues.

Five star appear on a TV show in the UK "Loose Lips" and sang Live.

On the 13th July Five star play the"Catherine Cookson Festival" in Newcastle,South sheilds.

Come October and Five star play two consecutive dates at Butlins

on the 4th they play Bognor Regis, and on the 5th the Skegness venue.

In December and Five star play a further seven dates at the"Here and Now"

tour....receiving positive reviews from the media for the second year running.

2004 and Five star have more live dates planned on April 24th Five star played an amazing set at the "Lakeside" complex.the show going on for longer than some of their previous gigs, on getting a fabulous reception yet again, when they came back out for an encore, they did an accapello medley set.....which blew the fans away..singin many songs never heard live before,after this they did a meet and greet with the fans for over half an hour.

The next day April 25th they played Butlins Bognor Regis. Five Star are always given a great reception at these gigs

The following month in May 22nd,they played the "Nightingale" club which was re-schedueled from Jan31st. Denise announces she is living back in the UK for good. The next day May 23rd they play yet another date at Butlins Bognor Regis, at both gigs they go great as always.

On the May 29th Five star play the "Cruz101" club in Manchester for the clubs 12th anniversary.The group are totally blown away by the reception they are greeted with..with both Lorraine and Denise that moved they are tearful. One week later and they are at the "Astoria"(G.A.Y.) in London.

On August 29th Five star play "Manchester pride" playing at "Cruz101" on the Saturday night,this gig see's Denise performing on her own for the first time in her career due to illness/injury within the group, Denise doesn't let the fans down and still performs and does a fantastic job, getting a wonderful reception from the Manchester crowd.

The next day Denise performs on the mainstage out doors and just as she comes on it starts to rain but people are not put of by this and stay to watch another great set by Denise who despite being on her own again still puts on another great show. and Stedman performs a great set also as part of a solo career.

On October the 16th Five star are awarded the "Black Music History" lifetime acheivment award, Lorraine collects the award and represents the group. In December on Dec 22nd Five star play at "Jumpin Jaks" club in Basildon, the next night a further gig is planned for "The Works" in Kingston,but Denise is ill with Flu and has to cancel.

2005 and Five star play their first gig of the year at "Chicago rock cafe" in Swansea. Five star appear live on "MTV BACKSTAGE" for an interview to promote "System Addict Remix"2005.

On May 31st Five star do a special Bank holiday special at "Delta Radio" a 2 hour interview with our own "Rob Burberry" who is a huge Five Star fan interview gets alot of positive feedback. After this comes a few more Radio interviews.

The new altered video for "System Addict Remix" is played on various music channels it also wins video of the week on Top Of The Pops".

On July 8th Five Star play a date at Butlins Bognor Regis, at this gig they play a Medley of songs for the first time and the crowd absolutely loved it.

The week after Five star play at Butlins Minehead venue again playing the new fabulous medley to appreciative fans.

On August 29th Bank holiday Monday Five star play at Blackpools "Flamingo" club to a happy crowd who love the show.

The "Slightest Touch" is set for re-releases a remix also their new re-vamped "Eclipse" album which is a special edition is ready to come out followed by "Five star" "Shine" and "Heart and Soul" plus a DVD of their videos..

Five star are set to play two upcoming gis one on Oct 8th at Butlins Bognor regis and a week later at "Nightingale" club where they are favourites.

And now its 23 years that they have been a group bringin their special magic to fans allover the world.

In April 2006 Stedman and Denise along with Marqus, played a date at Butlins Bognor regis, in Oct of 2006 they were billed to play two gigs at butlins, which was cancelled!.

In September Steddie opened his Myspace page with clips of his new solo tracks of his forthcoming album.

Doris also opens a Myspace page with clips of tracks she has written.

On December 16th, Sted played a solo gig in Oldham at the Tokyo project club.

On February 22nd 2007, Stedman played a showcase at the Soho revue bar in Soho London.

March Sony/BMG release Performance a dvd of all Five stas wideos. On July 17th Sted plays another Soho popshow showcase.

September see's Denise open a Myspace page with clips of her solo tracks!.

2008 is Five star's 25th Anniversary....

On the 29th March The Show at Littlecote in Hungerford Berkshire started at around ten, first of all, Denise couldn't make the gig as she had a prior work commitment, (which has been stated since the announcement of the gig), but both Denz n Steddie wanted the gig to go ahead, so with the two stand-ins, trained approved and chose by Denise herself.

On July 6th Stedman does a couple of songs @ the Roadhouse in London.

On September 25th Denise does her first ever Solo Gig @ The Gardening club in London.

4th October, see's the first of 5 Gigs at Butlins, with Stedman & Denise with 3 backing dancers, at Minehead, followed by a gig at Bognor regis on the 10th, then the 12th at Skegness, a month later on November the 23rd another gig at Bognor regis and finally on rhe 29th at Bognor regis.

In November Stedman appeared on the BBC's Celebrity scissorhands.

2009...

From January 2nd 2009 Denise starred in Thriller Live the musical in Londons West End, she received great reviews and praise for her outstanding performance from critics and public alike. She was in it for 3 months.

Denises Debut Solo Single, the self-penned balled 'Here i Am' is now available on I-Tunes!!, The Video is also out now and Denises Official site is now online.

On April 11th, Denise & Stedman did a Gig at Nightingales club in Birmingham.

May 29th Stedman & Denise will appear@ Faces club in Gnats hill Essex.
